Greetings,
During these times of remote/hybrid work and online learning, it can be challenging to stay focused and productive. However, a simple and effective time management method called the Pomodoro Technique can help. I started using this technique during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it has significantly increased my productivity and focus.
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management strategy that involves breaking down work or study sessions into 25-minute intervals, known as “Pomodoros,” followed by a short break. After four Pomodoros, you can take a more extended break. The idea is to work during the Pomodoro intervals without allowing any distractions, thus boosting productivity and improving focus.
To start practicing the Pomodoro Technique, you only need a timer and a to-do list. Here’s how you can get started:

  1. Select a task from your to-do list.
  2. Set the timer for 25 minutes and start working on the task.
  3. Take a short break of five minutes to rest and recharge.
  4. Repeat the Pomodoro cycle for four times.
  5. After completing four Pomodoros, take a more extended break of 15–30 minutes.
  6. Repeat the process until you finish all the tasks on your to-do list.

By implementing the Pomodoro Technique, you can increase your focus, productivity, and reduce procrastination. It’s an effective method to break down tasks into manageable intervals, reduce overwhelm and increase efficiency.
I have been using “Focus To-Do” app to track my progress. You can also find several free Pomodoro apps that can help you track and ensure that you stay on task.
In conclusion, I highly recommend trying the Pomodoro Technique to improve your productivity.
